They care for pregnant women with pre-existing health conditions (like diabetes or kidney disease), those who develop complications during pregnancy (such as preeclampsia or gestational diabetes), and babies diagnosed with health problems before birth.

Your healthcare provider may refer you to an MFM specialist if:
