Our perinatologists are specialists who care for both mother and fetus in complicated pregnancies in partnership with your primary care provider, obstetrician, or midwife. As a member of the Fetal Care Network, we collaborate with a wide variety of specialists from Phoenix Children’s Hospital—including neonatologists, pediatric surgeons and pediatric cardiologists—to provide the best possible outcome for you and your baby or babies.
All of Dignity Health Medical Group’s perinatologists are fellowship trained and board certified—or working towards their board certification. When you choose a physician who is certified, you can be confident he or she meets nationally recognized standards for education, knowledge, experience and skills to provide high quality care in a specific medical specialty, above and beyond basic medical licensure.
Risk Factors for perinatal care:
In collaboration with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Fetal Care Network, our Fetal Care unit is one of just a few comprehensive centers in the United States. Our focus on high-risk obstetrics and our high patient volume keep us at the forefront of treatment advances in maternal fetal medicine. Our specialists will work with you to tailor a care plan unique to your situation.
Fetal Heart Center
In collaboration with Phoenix Children’s Hospital, our center provides comprehensive care for fetal congenital heart disease. We consider our patients and their referring provider a part of the care team. We offer one-time consultation and ongoing collaborative care. We can assume the primary cardiovascular care role if that is in accordance with the wishes of the family and its providers.

Fetal Congenital Heart Center Services
Our department is a highly respected training site for medical students who are a part of the growing programs at Creighton University Medical School and Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS). Our Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians (perinatologists) work to provide exceptional care for their patients while assisting in the training and coaching of future talent as well. Our providers lead residents and medical students through topics such as reproductive endocrinology and high risk pregnancies in an effort to ensure that the next generation of physicians is fully prepared to provide the best possible care for the families within the Phoenix metropolitan area.
