In My Own Words

Double Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, Dr. Haddadan is a preeminent specialist in the treatment of chronic pain.  As the group's Medical Director, Dr. Haddadan works to ensure that each member of the group's multi-disciplinary clinical team is focused on diagnosing and confirming the source of each patient's chronic pain, and then carefully developing and documenting the most effective treatment plans.  While Dr. Haddadan and members of his team regularly direct patients to the Sacramento Area's best neurological and orthopedic surgeons, most patients are treated effectively with minimally invasive spine and joint procedures, cognitive behavioral therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, and/or drug-based therapy.  With each patient, Dr. Haddadan and his team strive to eliminate or reduce the severity of chronic pain while also increasing daily function/activity levels and quality of life. Dr. Haddadan's training and experience enables him to offer some of today's most innovative and effective forms of minimally invasive procedures to treat pain, including therapeutic nerve blocks, joint injections, nerve ablations, implantable neuromodulation, discography, and more. He uses multiple modalities to reinforce his ability to help patients with their pain. Born in San Jose, CA, Dr. Haddadan completed medical school abroad and practiced as a family practitioner in the field of trauma and nonsurgical orthopedics before completing his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Loyola University in Chicago, IL. He gained invaluable experience while practicing in Wisconsin within pain specialty group as a rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic specialist. He completed an Interventional Pain Fellowship in San Francisco at California Pacific Medical Center in 2005 and has been practicing as a pain specialist in Northern California ever since. Dr. Haddadan's research papers have been published in the Journal of Neuromodulation for Pain, and his poster presentations have won national awards. Certified by the Helms Medical Institute in Acupuncture, Dr. Haddadan is a certified Medical Acupuncturist and directs acupuncture treatment through the Area's best acupuncture practitioners. He is currently an Affiliate member to the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Haddadan is a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPM&R), as well as the American Board of Pain Medicine (ABPM).
