Welcome to Mercy Medical Group
We're glad you selected a Mercy Medical Group physician as your health care provider. Our physicians are dedicated to providing you with high quality, compassionate medical care tailored to your personal needs. We are here to serve you.
Below is a comprehensive list of useful information designed to help introduce you to Mercy Medical Group:
Medical Appointments
To schedule a medical appointment, call your Primary Care Physician's office phone number noted on your health insurance card. Mercy Medical Group physician office hours are generally from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For your convenience, some of our physicians offer extended hours for early morning or evening appointments, plus several Mercy Medical Group locations now offer routine appointments on Saturdays. Mercy Medical Group also offers patients the added convenience of same-day appointments in most Primary Care Physician offices through our Open Access program. You can also book some
appointments online.
24-Hour Advice Nurse Service
Mercy Medical Group's toll-free advice nurse service is available to our patients 24 hours a day and is an excellent resource when you or a family member are sick and need assistance. Call the advice nurse before you visit the emergency room to get immediate advice for home care, or direction to other care options such as our Midtown walk-in clinic.
Call (877) 944-1058. The advice nurse can also contact the Mercy Medical Group on-call doctor.
Urgent Care is defined as same-day treatment for a non-emergency medical condition. To seek same-day care, call your Primary Care Physician's office to schedule an appointment through Mercy Medical Group's Open Access. If your Primary Care Physician is unable to see you that day, you will be referred to Mercy Medical Group's urgent care location:
Midtown Walk-in Clinic
3000 Q Street, Sacramento
(916) 733-3377
Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Weekends/Holidays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mercy Medical Group accesses the network of outpatient laboratories operated by Dignity Health's Sacramento area hospitals (the “Mercy Laboratories”) for patient laboratory services. Mercy Laboratory draw stations are located next to many Mercy Medical Group locations, as well as at all local hospital facilities.
Prescription Renewals
To refill a current prescription, please contact your pharmacy directly and request that they use the computer-to-computer refill process. They will take care of contacting your physician's office to fill your prescription. Please allow 48 hours for all refill requests. As of August 2009, Mercy Medical Group is working in collaboration with the pharmacies at Raley's and Bel Air stores to make the prescription refill process quicker and more accurate. Please note that narcotic prescriptions can only be refilled by your Primary Care Physician's office.
Senior Medication PRICE Clinic
The free Senior Medication PRICE (Pharmacist Review to Increase Cost-Effectiveness) Clinic helps seniors evaluate and balance the cost of medications. Historically, PRICE Clinic patients have saved an average of 50%, or almost $1,200 a year, on medication costs. The PRICE Clinic is open to all Mercy Medical Group senior patients. Appointments for the PRICE Clinic may be scheduled through your Primary Care Physician's office.
