Longtime walk-in health center formerly known as Central Coast Urgent Care gets new name, new location, and new services to serve local residents


SANTA MARIA, CA – June 5, 2019 – Pacific Central Coast Health Centers, a division of Dignity Health, is pleased to be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the new Med Plus Central Coast. As of May 13, 2019 the new location began offering community members vital health care services in a spacious and impressive facility. Med Plus Central Coast is part of the Dignity Health Central Coast network of nearly 40 health centers as well as Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, French Hospital Medical Center, and Marian Regional Medical Center. 

WHO: Members of the media are invited to attend a Ribbon Cutting and Open House to celebrate with the staff and physicians of Santa Maria’s Med Plus Central Coast.

WHAT: Media are invited to learn about and tour the new Med Plus Central Coast. The event will allow opportunity for photographs and interviews with health center representatives.

WHERE: Med Plus Central Coast, 2271 South Depot Street, Santa Maria 

WHEN: Tuesday June 18 from 4:30-6:30p.m.
Please arrive by 4:30p.m. for the actual ribbon cutting 

WHY: Mark Pomerantz, MD and Thomas Caruso, MD have been delivering the same quality health care to families and employers of the Santa Maria Valley for more than 30 years. In its new location on Depot Street, Med Plus Central Coast will offer walk-in services, occupational medicine services, and is adding physical therapy services with Brittany Jones, DPT.
