A Legacy of Care: The History of Yavapai Regional
Growing with the Community
On March 1, 1943, Prescott Community Hospital, now Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, began its legacy of caring for the community. From its humble beginnings in a converted school building, it has grown into a thriving not-for-profit healthcare organization serving Yavapai County and northern Arizona.
Today, Yavapai Regional encompasses two acute care hospitals, a network of primary and specialty care clinics, and a comprehensive range of advanced services, including an acclaimed heart center, a breast imaging center of excellence, outpatient health and wellness programs, cutting-edge AI-powered technologies, and minimally invasive neurosurgery.
