Adolescents can face a number of challenges while trying to master the art of growing up. If mental health issues (including depression), substance abuse, and family issues are hindering your child or teen from mastering the developmental milestones that guide them into adulthood, St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center is here to help.
The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for youth who need comprehensive treatment for mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems. Through this program we help our young patients learn how to identify and change distorted thinking, communicate effectively in relationships, and regain control of their lives, using the techniques of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Our team of therapists work collaboratively with parents, doctors, and schools. When your adolescent completes the program, we put together a comprehensive discharge plan to ensure your teen or pre-teen continues to get the help they need to thrive into adulthood.
For questions, and to help determine if this program is right for your teen or pre-teen please call 209.938.0831 during regular business hours and schedule an appointment for a free behavioral evaluation.
Our Adolescent IOP meets Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4-7:30 p.m. The whole family is encouraged to attend the second half of the Friday session, from 6-7:30 p.m.
We have a separate session for youth dealing with substance abuse. Our Chemical Recovery Adolescent IOP meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4-7 p.m.
