ARROYO GRANDE, CA – October 27, 2017 – Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to invite the community to a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, November 6th at 5:00 p.m. outside the Emergency Department, the site of one of several major hospital improvements that will be made as part of the Legacy Campaign.
The Legacy Campaign at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is a fundraising effort to expand and improve critical areas of the hospital including the Emergency Department, Acute Rehabilitation Center, imaging services, and cancer services. These improvements will be the result of years of planning, fundraising, and development. The expansions, renovations, and equipment purchases are expected to meet community and patient needs for decades.
The Foundation launched the Legacy Campaign in 2014, and has since raised nearly three quarters of its $6.5 million goal with support from philanthropic community members, local businesses, and hospital employees and volunteers. The Foundation will continue to raise funds for these improvements until its $6.5 million goal is met.
The groundbreaking ceremony will include presentations from hospital leadership about the future plans of the Legacy Campaign. “It is wonderful to see how far we’ve come with the support of the community. We are making history with these transformations, which will ensure the best health care possible is available for our community for years to come,” said Kathy Tompkins, longtime member of the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
