Marian Regional Medical Center ranked 18th in Soliant’s 2019 Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S.
SANTA MARIA, CA – July 22, 2019 – Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC), a Dignity Health Central Coast hospital, announced today that it ranked No. 18 on Soliant’s 10th annual Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals contest. Supporters from across the country nominated and voted for facilities that recognized nurturing staff, comforting aesthetics, and innovative designs as key elements of beauty which contribute to the overall well-being of patients.
Marian completed the construction of its innovative 191-bed acute-care facility in 2012, even further enhancing the quality of care provided to the community. The state-of-the-art, four story hospital was developed by award-winning Moon Mayoras Architects; a firm dedicated to the development of elegant architecture in health care facilities. The 239,560 square-foot, four-story tower features private patient rooms and baths, an expanded emergency department, and specialized care including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The impressive building was influenced by the California mission style customary in Santa Maria and along California’s Central Coast. The striking facility will serve the health care needs of the community for years to come.
