Marian Regional Medical Center Actively Seeking Volunteers to Serve in More Than 20 Hospital Departments

Due to continued growth and expanding services, Marian Regional Medical Center is currently recruiting volunteers to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

SANTA MARIA, CA – October 17, 2019 –  Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is actively seeking volunteers with a desire to donate time and special talents in more than 20 departments throughout the hospital.

The hospital is currently recruiting community members to join the dedicated volunteer force and further enhance patient care and hospital operations in the following departments: Bariatric Program, Breast Imaging, Business Office, Employee Health, Foundation, Infection Control, Infusion, Main Lobby, Mended Hearts, Mission Hope Cancer Center, Outpatient Lobby, Pathology, Patient Satisfaction (Kindness Cart), Perinatal Center, Pet Therapy Program, Plaza Surgery Center, Pre-Admission Clinic, Post-Acute Care Team, and TLC- Crafts. In addition, volunteers who can offer bilingual Spanish-language support are needed.   

Volunteer shifts are typically four hours in duration and are scheduled during the hospital’s daily visiting hours, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Volunteers are not only needed Monday through Friday, but weekends as well. Shifts of reduced time are offered on weekends and evenings to appeal to working community members or students.  To become a Marian volunteer, community members must complete an application and an initial screening process in addition to attending a general orientation.
