Marian Regional Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2026

SANTA MARIA, CA – January 2, 2026 – Marian Regional Medical Center is excited to announce that it has welcomed its first baby of the year!

Marian Regional welcomed a healthy baby boy, Jorge Damian Toribio Santos, on Thursday. He arrived at 2:35 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026, weighing 6 pounds, 2oz.

Nurses at Marian Regional Medical Center’s Family Birthing Center presented the family with a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies and essentials for the sweet newborn and couldn’t wait to take a photo with the little bundle of joy.

Both mom and baby are healthy and doing well. Happy New Year!
