Marian Regional Welcomes First Santa Barbara Baby of 2017

Posted in:
Everett Eugene Perez arrived just in time to become the first baby born in Santa Barbara County in 2017 at Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC). Coming into the world at 12:28 a.m., he weighed in at just seven pounds, nine ounces.

Everett’s mom, Ashley Schultz, and dad Eric Perez, are overjoyed about their New Year arrival. Everett is the first baby for each of the proud parents. Mom and baby are doing well.

To celebrate and welcome this bundle of joy, MRMC staff presented mom, dad and baby with a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies and essentials for the sweet bundle of joy.

“I was not expecting to have a baby today,” says new mom Ashley. “But I am already in love.”
