The annual Pinktober Pumpkin Patch hosted by Toyota of Santa Maria donated $16,000 in support of local breast cancer patients

SANTA MARIA, CA – November 29, 2021 – Toyota of Santa Maria hosted its Pinktober pumpkin patch throughout the month of October to raise funds for local breast cancer patients. Toyota of Santa Maria recently donated all proceeds raised from their Pinktober event to Mission Hope Cancer Center.

“This past year taught us a lot about resiliency, and watching our local breast cancer patients at Mission Hope Cancer Center bravely face a cancer diagnosis in the midst of a pandemic was nothing short of extraordinary," shares Dr. Colleen O'Kelly Priddy, breast surgeon, Marian Cancer Care. "Our organization is grateful to Toyota of Santa Maria for supporting local breast cancer patients in a significant way as event proceeds will directly support patient assistance needs, programs and services, and the acquisition of advanced equipment and technology."

Mission Hope Cancer Center, located on the Marian Regional Medical Center campus, is the region’s only advanced comprehensive cancer care center.  Highly specialized physicians, oncology nurses and therapists provide integrated oncology care to the Central Coast. Mission Hope features the most advanced technology and provides the entire spectrum of cancer care and a multitude of support services and therapies.  This state-of-the-art facility unites Santa Maria oncology treatment, imaging, research, education and outreach services at one location. It is accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer and received seven commendations.  The Marian Cancer Care Program at Mission Hope Cancer Center is a recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award, which is the highest designation awarded to community cancer centers and Marian is one of only three designated programs between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
