Also known as “Twosday,” Babies Born Today at Marian Regional Medical Center Share Unique Birthdates

Newborns include a set of twins born on 2/22/22

CENTRAL COAST, CA – February 22, 2022 – Today, 2/22/22, Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is excited to announce that it welcomed a healthy set of twins on this palindrome date, meaning it can be read the same way backward and forward.

Just as the day signifies, Marian welcomed twin baby boys to proud parents Julia Vasquez and Leonardo Morales Juarez. The first, named Leonel, was born at 12:29pm weighing five pounds and ten ounces. The second, named Leobardo, was also born at 12:29 and weighed in at five pounds and twelve ounces. The twin boys are the sixth and seventh babies for the family, who also have five children – the oldest is 17 and the youngest is three.

"We are very happy and grateful that both babies are healthy,” says Julia.

Physicians and nurses at MRMC’s Family Birthing Center were excited to welcome these bundles of joy on such a unique day.

“We welcomed a few babies on this remarkable day, but we were very excited to welcome twins on Twosday,” says Veronica Negrete, Perinatal Director, Labor and Delivery, Marian Regional Medical Center. “When we have these special dates we love to celebrate with the families that deliver their babies at Marian, as it brings us great joy welcoming them into the world!”
