Ventana Health Center
At Ventana Health Center in Pismo Beach our experienced team of Primary Care Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers offer diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, the management of long term, acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and heart disease. We offer guidance on preventative care, immunization, health maintenance with patient education and screening programs. Our office has a nurturing environment but virtual visits are available on request. We offer many services including family medicine and primary care. We have a team of two full time family medicine providers and one nurse practitioner. Our clinic is part of Dignity Health network and dedicated to delivering high quality care and access to Pismo Beach and nearby communities.
Meet our Expert Team
Amanthi Chandrasena, MD – Family Medicine
Dr. Amanthi Chandrasena specializes in Family Medicine. She has been practicing family medicine here on the central coast since 2009 at Ventana Health Center in Pismo Beach. Dr. Chandrasena grew up in Southern California, and went to medical school in Eastern Europe, and graduated from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. She completed her Residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital family medicine program, where she was a chief resident and graduated in 2008. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of Family medicine but most of her practice is adult medicine, with a great deal of geriatrics.
Dr. Chandrasena does simple skin procedures in the office, and some bursa injections.
She enjoys time here on the central coast with her Family. Her hobbies include traveling, cake decorating and spending time with her twins.
Melvin Lopez, MD – Family Medicine
Dr. Melvin Lopez specializes in Family Medicine. He completed his education from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine and his Residency from University of CA- Davis Medical Center – Family/Comm Med. He is affiliated with Marian Regional Medical Center. Dr. Lopez is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Ludmila Burcovschi, NP
Ludmila Burcovschi is a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with honors in 2021. Having more than 2 years of diverse experiences, especially as a Nurse Practitioner, Ludmila Burcovschi is affiliated with Marian Regional Medical Center and French Hospital Medical Center.
