Carl Evan Bennett joined Lassen Medical Clinic in 2020. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner affliated with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He is a certifed ACLS and BLS Provider.

Carl became a registered nurse in 2012 after graduating from Morehead State Universities Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He then continued his education, graduating from Walden University's Masters of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner specialty program in 2019.

A Physician Assistant since 2001, Laura joined Lassen Medical Clinic in 2014, after working for 12 years as Surgical Physician Assistant at Kaiser Permanente facilities in Northern California. She is highly experienced in a range of fields including orthopedic spine, general, vascular, plastic, cardiothoracic and obstetric/gynecological surgery.

Laura has held many leadership roles throughout her career. She has coordinated, taught and supervised lab technicians. She has also trained incoming physician assistants and offered instruction to colleagues on surgical procedures and methods of patient care.

Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences – with high honors – from the University of California, Davis. She then earned a Master’s degree and completed the Physician Assistant program at Samuel Merritt College, where she was nominated for the Outstanding Student Award.

Laura has volunteered at UC Davis Medical Center, Berkeley Free Clinic and the Davis, California, sister city delegation to El Salvador, “Friends of Rutilio Grande.”

Laura is a life-long animal lover who enjoys spending time with her family, friends, granddaughter, and dog Stella. Her favorite activities include hiking and exploring the wilderness, coastlands, and countryside. She is currently on a quest to discover the best freshwater swimming spots in California.

Joe Eischen joined Lassen Medical Clinic in 2019 as a recent MSN-FNP graduate of Sonoma State University where he graduated with distinction. A California native, Joe went to Shasta College and Butte College before earning his BSN at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Joe became a registered nurse in 2013 and has used his skills to care for patients in Northern California hospitals including Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. He is known to communicate respectfully with patients and their families, as well as with members of the health care team.
