Only you can determine your residency and career priorities. Perhaps faculty expertise is the most critical factor. What are your ideal training environments?

Across the spectrum of residency programs, training cultures vary from process-oriented and traditional to highly adaptive and unique. In researching the environment that is the right fit, you will take a deep dive into how you learn and thrive optimally.  Dignity Health East Valley is uniquely positioned to balance the knowledge and experiences of our expert faculty with the input and suggestions from the residents who will help us build our pioneering new residency program.

What can you learn from an interview?

While asking questions from a list of well-researched and prepared questions will provide many of the answers you seek in an interview, don’t forget the “extras.” They are important too. Take notes on all your observations and impressions; intuition is important. Explore our communities, our care models, and our organization.  Pay attention to the attentiveness and approachability of the program leaders and faculty you meet.
