Multidisciplinary Approach

Mission Hope Cancer Center brings together a team of health care professionals specially trained in the identification and treatment of cancer to ensure you get the information and care you need every step of the way. Our multidisciplinary team approach to care ensures the best possible outcome.

Our team features board-certified cancer specialists, specially trained nurses, pharmacists, social workers, chaplains, palliative care specialists, nutritional experts and support staff under one roof. They work in concert—consulting, collaborating, and maintaining open lines of communication—to maximize effectiveness in treating even the most complex cases.

Cancer Tumor Board

The Cancer Tumor Board is a consultative conference held weekly, attended by surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, specialists, pathologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, counselors, physical therapists, medical/surgical specialists, and primary care providers. Individual cases are presented for discussion and recommendations are made regarding further diagnosis or therapeutic approaches. This collaborative process ensures the best possible care for our patients.
