Patients seeking rapid care will be assessed in the new triage bay and then placed in a rapid care room for treatment. The newly built rapid care rooms will offer patients privacy during this assessment. Conditions commonly treated in rapid care include but are not limited to colds and flus, sprains, rashes, minor injuries, etc.
“The goal of the new space is to provide immediate access to care for our patients who come in with urgent but non-life-threatening emergencies,” said Stacy Hutchison, RN, Emergency Services Director at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital. “The expedited process will allow us to not only better serve our patients with lower acuity concerns, but to also address the needs of our most critical patients.”
