The half-day symposium begins at 9 a.m. (registration and exhibits open at 8:30 a.m.) and will feature two panel discussions by a group of multidisciplinary physicians and medical experts who will discuss advances and new approaches in breast care to meet the unique needs of each individual.
“Breast care is more than just getting a mammogram,” said Alicia Zaragoza, Oncology Nurse Navigator, St. John’s Hospitals. “It is about taking into account genetics, lifestyle choices and personal characteristics to tailor a care plan.”
The panel discussions will cover topics from BRCA testing, targeted therapies, breast reconstruction and complementary therapies. Each panel will have a question and answer period and is designed to be interactive.
