Family Medicine Center

As part of Marian’s Family Medicine Residency Program  Dignity Health’s Family Medicine Center  provides Primary Care services offering  diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, mental health and the management of long term, acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and heart disease. We offer guidance on preventative care, immunization, health maintenance with patient education and screening programs.

At Family Medicine Center in Santa Maria we have a unique team-based care approach. Each patient care team is composed of Family Medicine Residents, two Supervising Physicians who are on Faculty at the Residency Program and two Medical Assistants.   Team-based care helps with continuity and quality of patient care. It allows better access to care.

If your Primary Care Provider is not in the office, another provider on your patient’s care team is available to see patients or address issues.  Care coordination and continuity is kept within the team as much as possible. Our office has a nurturing environment and virtual visits are available on request.

We also offer Lifestyle and Integrative Medicine. Lifestyle Medicine addresses the root causes of disease with evidence-based therapies such as healthy nutrition, exercise, quality sleep, social connection and stress management to achieve optimal health. Integrative Medicine is a holistic specialty that emphasizes lifestyle therapies alongside conventional medicine and surgery. Integrative modalities may include nutrition and culinary medicine, movement, supplements, acupuncture, manual medicine, and others.

What makes our Expert Team at Family Medicine Center?

Family Medicine Center is one of the largest primary care clinics in the Santa Maria Valley. Family Medicine Center accepts almost all insurance. It is also a special clinic because it trains and in many instances helps keep doctors in our community. The resident doctors, faculty doctors and staff are caring, engaged and many speak Spanish.
