PRESCOTT, Ariz. (May 5, 2026) – Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center employees are pitching in to make their community a more beautiful place.
A group of YRMC volunteers spent a Saturday morning in April participating in the annual Granite Creek Cleanup in Prescott. Led by YRMC’s Community Health Advocacy, Mobility, and Planning Committee (C.H.A.M.P.), 63 employees, along with their families and friends, volunteered to clear out garbage and discarded items from a stretch of Willow Creek.
“Our employees are dedicated to the health of this incredible place we call home, not only in our service to its people, but through active participation in preserving and beautifying our shared environment,” says Dr. Ronael Eckman, Vice President of Medical Affairs at YRMC. “Opportunities like this give our employees a chance to connect with each other and our community and give back in a way beyond what we get to do at work everyday.”
In total, the group picked up 1.32 tons, or 2,640 pounds of trash. The annual event was organized by local non-profit Prescott Creeks and sponsored by Dignity Health YRMC and hosted in partnership with local non-profit Prescott Creeks.
