We believe in family-centered care and we encourage loved ones to visit their family in the hospital. We are open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some units may have restrictive hours due to the seriousness of a patient’s condition. Please observe these restrictions.Dominican Hospital’s main doors are locked from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. During those times, all visitors must enter through the Emergency Department entrance.All visitors must check-in and receive a visitor badge. This badge must be visible at all times.
Health And Safety
Your good health is important if you want to visit a patient. Please do not visit Dominican Hospital if you have, a fever over 100 degrees, cough, sore throat, runny nose, rash or diarrhea, or flu symptoms, including if you have recently been exposed to someone with symptoms.
Wash Your Hands. Be sure to wash or sanitize your hands before and after visiting. Proper hand hygiene is the best way to reduce the spread of germs.
We are a No Smoking Campus. Smoking and using any tobacco product, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited indoors and outdoors everywhere on the Dominican Hospital campus. People who smoke must refrain from smoking or leave the campus to smoke.
Critical Care Unit Visitors
Visits are limited to immediate family. Visitors are welcome anytime throughout the day with the following exceptions:
- 7 - 8 a.m.
- 10 - 11 a.m.
- 3 - 4 p.m.
- 7 - 8 p.m.
- 11 p.m. - Midnight
In general, we ask for only two visitors at a time at the baby’s bedside. At least one must always be a parent or banded support person for the baby (unless special arrangements have been made.) Parents are permitted around-the-clock, all other visitors will be asked to step out during shift change from 7 - 7:30 a.m. and 7 - 7:30 p.m. to maintain patient privacy.
