Infusion Center


Our center provides outpatient care in an ambulatory setting. Located within walking distance of Dominican Hospital, our highly skilled staff specializes in the care of oncology patients and all registered nurses maintain current Oncology Nursing Society chemotherapy/biotherapy provider cards.

Chemotherapy

The Infusion Center features 15 private infusion bays around a large central nursing station. It’s always our goal to make you as comfortable as possible, so during the course of your treatment.

Procedures Performed

  • Infusion of chemotherapy and biotherapy
  • Infusion of IV antibiotics and other IV treatments
  • Infusion of hydration, antiemetics and electrolytes
  • Non-chemo injections and vaccinations
  • PICC and Port-a-cath care, blood draws, and irrigation
  • Transfusion of red blood cells and platelets
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy 
  • Osteoporosis treatments
  • Asthma biotherapy

Patient Medication Assistance Program (PMAP)

CommonSpirit Health has dedicated regional resources called Patient Medication Assistance Program (PMAP) Liaisons. The PMAP team assists patients with high-cost infusion medications by trying to locate and sign up for manufacturer medication assistance programs where available to decrease prescription costs, such as copay assistance. To reach a PMAP liaison, please speak with the front desk staff at the infusion center.

CommonSpirit Health cuenta con recursos dedicados conocidos por región como enlaces del Programa de Asistencia para Medicamentos de Pacientes (PMAP, por sus siglas en inglés). El equipo del PMAP ayuda a los pacientes con medicamentos de infusión de alto costo, procurando localizar los programas de asistencia para medicamentos de los fabricantes con el fin de inscribirse y reducir los costos de las recetas, como la asistencia de copago. Para ponerse en contacto con un enlace del PMAP, hable con el personal de recepción del centro de infusión.

Appointments Are Required

Please avoid scheduling your treatment too close to other activities that may be delayed and affect your ability to arrive on time. This will shorten wait times for you and help you get through your appointment more quickly. We encourage patients to bring one visitor to sit with them during treatment. Additional visitors will be asked to wait in the lobby of the Infusion Center. Because many patients are sensitive to strong scents, we ask that you not bring food with strong odors and refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. Only service animals are permitted.
