On Campus Housing
As Bakersfield Memorial Hospital continues to grow and add new healthcare services, the need to keep families together when their loved ones are in the hospital at is even more critical. On campus housing provides these families a way to stay together and close to their loved ones when they need it the most.
Ronald McDonald House
The Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House is a place where the families of Kern County pediatric or NICU patients can go to take a break from the hospital environment. It serves as a "home away from home" that gives the non-hospitalized part of the family a sense of normalcy in a time when their world is upside down. Keeping families close to each other and the care they need is a goal of the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides services to families with patients under the age of 21.
Hope House
The Hope House at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital was built by the generous Members of the Kern County Builders Exchange. The Hope House provides services to families of patients who are over the age of 21. It is just as important for our older patients who are here for critical care to have their loved ones close by. The Hope House also serves as overflow housing for the Ronald McDonald House which operates at 120% capacity year round.
Amenities include 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living space. The Hope House on Memorial Hospital's campus will provide a place of comfort and solace to families for generations to come.
