The Women’s Center at Mercy Hospital Southwest features a board-certified and fellowship-trained urogynecologist, as well as a highly trained staff that specializes in women’s care. The team is highly experienced in pelvic health and other women’s health issues. The Center offers innovative gynecological solutions, including both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
The Women’s Center at Mercy Hospital Southwest is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the American College of Radiology, and the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. Accreditations like these are achieved by programs that offer a full range of medical services and ensure that the highest quality and care standards are maintained at all times. Our board certified radiologists and experienced imaging technologists work together to produce quality images and evaluations for physicians and their patients. Screenings are by appointment only. Lactation Support Center
The Lactation Support Center, located inside The Women’s Center, is Bakersfield’s first center to offer a full scope of resources for breastfeeding women. Our center offers pump rentals, a retail store filled with items made especially for breastfeeding mothers, and the personalized support of our trained staff. Through the Lactation Support Center, the high-quality care our hospital is known for is extended to you even after you and your baby go home. Lactation consultations are available by appointment only.
