Welcome to the website for Marian Regional Medical Center’s (Marian) residency program in obstetrics and gynecology. This newly ACGME-accredited program was designed to offer a rich and rewarding educational experience that will prepare you to be a knowledgeable and skilled women’s health care provider.
All of our core faculty physicians have the important practical community experience that is vital to patient care. The Santa Maria Women’s Health Center at Marian is the practice site for the program’s resident physicians and where they will care for their own panel of patients under the supervision of dedicated faculty physicians.

Marian takes three residents per year and is committed to creating a supportive environment to enhance learning and perfect skills. Application to the Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program at Marian must be made through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), utilizing the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Located along the Pacific Ocean halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, Santa Maria is located in the heart of the Central Coast and has the largest population in Santa Barbara County.
In 2012, Marian Regional Medical Center opened a new, state-of-the-art hospital and ushered in a new era of health care for Santa Maria and the entire Central Coast. The journey to build a new, modern hospital began in response to the rapidly growing population of the Santa Maria Valley and ongoing advances in medical technology.
