For Visitors

We understand the important role family and loved ones play in the healing process. Thank you for partnering with your loved one in their care.

Visiting Hours and Guidelines

Visiting hours are from:

  • Monday - Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday - Sunday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Two care partners/visitors may visit a patient at the same time. Care partners/visitors are permitted to rotate during visiting hours.
  • Exceptions to the number of care partners and visitors may be allowed for certain circumstances, such as end-of-life situations.
  • Overnight stays are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Care partners and visitors must be 16 years of age and in good health. 
  • The North Lobby door will be open from 5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Monday - Friday) and 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday)
  • The South Lobby door will be open Monday through Friday only from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Everyone who enters the Subacute Unit must be screened for symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone who is sick or who is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to enter the Subacute Unit. 
  • Visitors and care partners must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR - within 48 hours of visit, Antigen - within 24 hours of visit) before visiting anyone in our care. At-home tests are not accepted.
  • Care partners and visitors must wear a hospital-provided face mask at all times. The mask must sit closely against the face and cover the nose and mouth.

  • Siblings of the newborn may visit from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. accompanied by an adult

  • The care partner may stay 24/7 and the second visitor may visit from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Health and Safety

Wash Your Hands. Be sure to wash or sanitize your hands before and after visiting your loved one. Proper hand hygiene is the best way to reduce the spread of germs.

No Smoking Campus. We are committed to caring for the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. Because of this pledge, smoking and using any tobacco products is prohibited in all areas of the St. John’s campus, including exterior walkways and parking lots. People who smoke will need to refrain from smoking or leave the campus to smoke.
