Aidnag Diaz, MD, MPH, is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and the Medical Director of Radiation Medicine at the Dignity Health – Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is board certified in radiation oncology with expertise and special interest in stereotactic radiosurgery. His clinical expertise includes treating patients with sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, head and neck cancer, central nervous system tumors and pediatrics.

Dr. Diaz received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He then completed his training in radiation oncology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the Children’s Oncology Group, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, and the Brain Committee of the NRG. His research interests include the investigation of stereotactic ablative radiation treatment in combination with anti-PD1 immunotherapy for lung cancer by using an innovative tumor-on-chip technique and how to alleviate disparities in the treatment of underserved populations, in particular, how to increase enrollment of minorities into research protocols. Dr. Diaz believes in care that is individualized and patient centered.
