The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center has been recognized with national awards for clinical excellence.

The Center of Excellence and Center of Distinction awards were given to the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company.

The center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 93 percent, and an overall wound healing rate at more than 96 percent in less than 23 median days. Out of 630 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award, 334 achieved this honor for 2017.

The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center at Chandler Regional offers specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Some of the treatments offered at Chandler Regional’s Wound Healing Center include negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes to the wound, offloading or total contact casts, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

“I am extremely proud of this outstanding program which is serving a previously neglected population of life threatening chronic wounds,” said Brian Paterick, MD, medical director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center at Chandler Regional.
