Community Benefit & Outreach
At Dignity Health, a key part of our mission is supporting the health of our communities in meaningful, measurable ways.
Benefits Reports
At Chandler Regional, we fulfill our mission by investing in community outreach and educational programs; participating in advocacy efforts; and establishing partnerships in the community to improve health.Building Blocks for Children
The Building Blocks for Children program is a mobile, full-service health screening program comprised of the critical healthcare components that establish a solid foundation for children. It is available through the collaboration of several community partnerships.
Car Seat Clinics
Learning to care for your new baby can be overwhelming. Learning how to use all of the gear and safety equipment can be even more overwhelming. It is important to make sure your baby's car seat is installed properly and by a certified technician.
Children's Dental Clinic
Dental services provided include cleanings, fluoride varnish, dental sealants to protect teeth, oral hygiene education, x-rays and referrals for restorative treatment.
Community Grants
Every Dignity Health hospital has conducted a community
health assessment and has identified strategic priorities based on this
assessment.
An objective of Dignity Health's Community Grants Program is
to award grants to nonprofit organizations whose proposals respond to the
Priorities identified in the health assessment and/or the community benefit
plans of its hospitals.
Community Wellness
This November and December, we’re collecting used adult eye glasses to be given to displaced and homeless adults in our community. Hospital employees, community partners, and hospital visitors are welcome to donate their gently used adult eye glasses.
Look for our collection containers, which can be found at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Chandler Regional Medical Center, The Park, Rome Towers, Chandler CARE Center, and Gilbert Heritage Center.
Early Childhood Oral Health
The Early Childhood Oral Health Program is grant funded through First Things First, also known as the Tobacco Tax, and provides free services in the East Valley.
Healthy Living
A 6-week workshop series for anyone with COPD, diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, or any other chronic health condition. Caregivers and family members are also welcome and encouraged to attend.
Immunization Clinics
Chandler Regional's Community Outreach Immunization Program, in collaboration with Arizona's Vaccine for Children Program, sponsors free immunization clinics for children, as well as low-cost immunizations for adults.
Sponsorship Request Application
We receive many requests for financial sponsorships. While supportive in spirit of all approaches that encourage positive community improvements, we are limited in providing financial support to projects we view as most closely aligned with our core mission and values.
