Chairperson Duties - The IRB Chair facilitates and executes the basic responsibilities of the IRB, and will report on the status of IRB activities to the medical staff, hospital president, and the hospital's governing board. Removal of the Chair may occur at any time by a majority vote of IRB members or by the hospital's governing board.
IRB Vice Chair - The Vice Chair will execute the responsibilities of the IRB Chair at any time the Chair is unavailable, in the event a conflict of interest disqualifies the Chair or as designated.
Members - As a general rule, IRB members are responsible for reviewing all materials related to each study prior to the meeting at which the study will be discussed.
