Surgical Preparation and Testing

Depending on the type of procedure, your Chandler Regional surgeon may have you undergo some basic surgery preparation:

Blood tests: Examine your overall health and check for signs of infection. Blood draws may also be used to determine how a specific organ in your body is functioning.

Body scans or imaging: X-rays, CT scans or MRI may be done so your surgeon can better review the specific area of the body prior to surgery.

Your surgeon will write a prescription or send orders for all of your surgery preparation testing. All pre-surgical testing must be complete 48 hours prior to your surgery, unless your doctor has other specific directions.
