Kareem Shaarawy, MD, is a Sports Medicine Physician in the Orthopedics Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Shaarawy’s expertise includes sports medicine for a range of athletic levels and ages. He has worked with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State University athletes and several MLB, NFL and NBA players. As well as professional athletes, he works with high school athletes and has a significant interest in the study and prevention of mild traumatic brain injuries, or concussions, in young athletes.
Dr. Shaarawy graduated from the Ross School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine from St. Joseph’s and a Sports Medicine Fellowship from Arizona State University.
