Barrow Neurological Institute works in pursuit of one goal: The best possible care for every person we treat
Leader in Neuroscience
Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center has been a leader in the neurosciences for more than 50 years. During that time, our expert neurologists, neurosurgeons and researchers have pioneered new diagnostic procedures and treatments that are being used to save lives throughout the world. And yet, we believe that the greatest accomplishments in neurology and neurosurgery are yet to come.
Comprehensive Neurological Services
Since its founding in 1962, Barrow has been equally dedicated to world-class patient care, medical education and groundbreaking research.
Patient care. Housed in the new 430,000-square-foot Barrow Neuroscience Tower, we offer comprehensive and state-of-the-art neurological services for nearly every neurological disease and disorder. In fact, some of these treatments are only offered here. Barrow is home to more than 100 dedicated neurology and neurosurgery subspecialists.
Medical education. Future physicians receive extensive training in neurology and neurosurgery at Barrow, where our extensive and diverse patients allow for opportunities that are not possible at other facilities. Barrow shares its expertise with other medical professionals and facilities throughout the world through residencies, fellowships, annual conferences and other collaborations.
Research. Our physicians and scientists work hand-in-hand to make groundbreaking discoveries of the most complex neurological diseases and disorders at onsite centers like the Barrow Brain Tumor Research Center. These discoveries are then translated into new treatments and procedures that we believe will change the future of neuroscience – resulting in better patient care.
Our neurological services are all encompassing and range from diagnosis to treatment to after-care, including an extensive neurorehabilitation program. These services have drawn patients from throughout the world—including all 50 states and more than 50 countries. We are privileged to care for each and every one of our patients, and look forward to the opportunity to care for you and your loved ones.
Just as neurological diseases and disorders are vast and complex, so are the neurology procedures offered at Barrow. Whether you are seeking an initial diagnosis for a potential neurological condition or a second opinion for a complex neurosurgery, chances are you will find an expert here to meet your needs.
