Dignity Health YRMC Names 2025 Physician of The Year 

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (Dec. 9, 2025) – Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center has named Tara Bruns, MD, the Physician of the Year for Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center. 

Dr. Bruns, who specializes in emergency medicine, meets the award criteria by embodying the hospital’s values and vision every day through the compassionate care she provides to patients. Dr. Bruns consistently upholds the Dignity Health mission through this endeavor and in the team player mindset she applies when forging and maintaining strong, collaborative ties with fellow employees, staff, and volunteers.

“Accepting this award is humbling in the best way,” shares Dr. Bruns. “I feel extremely fortunate every day that I get to treat  patients in the Prescott community and work with the unbelievably skilled team at YRMC.”

Nominations submitted by her peers note Dr. Bruns’ kindness, compassion, respectfulness,  dedication to patients, and personability with staff being the reasons she is deserving of the Physician of the Year award.

As part of the Physician of the Year award, YRMC donates $500 to a charity of the winner’s choice. Dr. Bruns has selected Casa For Kids as the recipient of the donation. Casa For Kids is a local organization that supports foster children in Yavapai County via grants, supplies, training, and more.
