REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (July 29, 2019) – Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital has been voted a “Best Birth Center” for the 10th consecutive year by readers of Bay Area Parent magazine in its “Best of the Best” annual survey. Sequoia also was voted a “Best Hospital.”
“We are honored to be voted as a favorite of Bay Area families for 10 years running,” said Sequoia Hospital President Bill Graham. “Our community chooses Sequoia because it combines the personalized service of a community hospital with the superior care of an advanced medical facility, giving patients true peace of mind during their stay.”
Sequoia Hospital’s award-winning Birth Center offers an array of services and comforts, including all-private rooms each with a full ensuite bathroom, 24-hour anesthesiologist and OB physician coverage, an on-site Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and breastfeeding support from our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) nurses during the hospital stay and through the crucial early weeks after birth. Each room is bright and beautifully decorated, and features a relaxing rocking chair and bassinet.
The results of this year’s survey, based on readers’ experiences during 2018, were announced in the magazine’s annual “Best of the Best” issue. Bay Area Parent magazine has been providing information and resources to families in the Bay Area for more than 30 years. The awards are based on voting by approximately 15,000 readers, who cast their votes online for the “best family-friendly businesses and services.”
