Sequoia Hospital New Parent Support Group - Open to the Community!

The Sequoia Hospital New Parent Support Group is committed to offering new parents the opportunity to explore their role in a supportive environment that lays the foundation for raising healthy, caring, and responsible children. The group is designed to provide a forum for dialogue and exchange of ideas to help contribute to successful parenting.

What to Expect:

  • A Supportive and Welcoming Environment: This group is open to the community and provides a safe space for new parents to connect, share experiences, and find support during this incredible (and sometimes overwhelming!) journey.
  • Expert Guidance: The group is led by a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, who provides discussion topics and encourages group interaction.
  • Relevant Topics: We'll explore topics relevant to new parenthood, including newborn behavior, infant crying, postpartum blues, feeding issues, returning to work, and family adjustments.
  • Dialogue and Exchange of Ideas: This group is designed to provide a forum for dialogue and exchange of ideas to help contribute to successful parenting.
  • Connection and Community: Build lasting friendships with other parents who understand what you're going through.

Meeting Details:

  • When: Thursday from 10:00am-11:30am
  • Where: Sequoia Hospital – Conference Room F,  170 Alameda de las Pulgas Redwood City, CA 94062

Important Note: To ensure we can all benefit from the full session and create a smooth, supportive environment, we kindly ask that you arrive on time. We understand things can be unpredictable with little ones, but your punctuality will help us make the most of our precious time together.

Grief Support Group – Living with Loss

If you have experienced the recent death of a loved one, please join us in a friendly, safe and supportive setting to explore and make sense of the complex and overwhelming feelings that may accompany grief. There is no charge to attend these Monday evening sessions.
