Memorial Hospital offers a variety of classes and support groups for those who will be delivering their babies, or have delivered their babies, at Memorial Hospitals 'Miracles on 34th Street' Birth Center.
This four-week series of classes provides the mother-to-be and her support person with information on what to anticipate during labor and birth. The course is taught by certified childbirth instructors and covers many aspects of pregnancy, the process of birth, a variety of coping techniques to meet the concerns of parents expecting a baby, as well as breastfeeding and mother and baby postpartum care.
To assure a place in these classes, we encourage registering before or during the fifth month of pregnancy.
Cost is $55.00 per couple (cash or check only please).
Classes begin the first Monday of each month and run once per week (Mondays) for four weeks.
For more information or to register, please call 661.327.4647 ext. 4510.
If you’re nervous about giving birth, come and see what we have to offer at Memorial Hospital. Attending our Maternity Orientation and Tour allows time to ask questions about policies and options open to you. A tour of the maternal child health area of the hospital will be given. Attending this class early in pregnancy will allow time to learn about our hospital as well as attend other prenatal courses offered.
This free class meets Tuesday mornings and begins promptly at 10 a.m. in the Main Lobby.
Please bring only one adult support person with you to this class.
