Prostate, lung, and colorectal cancers are among the most common cancers affecting men. According to the National Cancer Institute, these cancers will account for hundreds of thousands of diagnoses this year. The good news? Screenings can catch these cancers early, when treatment is often more effective.
"Early detection is key to survival," emphasizes Cynthia Maldonado, RN, Supervisor for Cancer Outreach at Mission Hope Cancer Center. "Most cancers in the early stages don't show symptoms, making screenings essential. An early diagnosis is more likely to be curable and easier to treat."
