Undergraduate: Vanguard University (B.A. Religious Studies
Medical School: West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine

Hi all! I am from Colorado but I’ve spent a great deal of time in Southern California. I have family in both northern and southern California which is what drew me to the Central Coast. I really enjoy this residency program and I think I am receiving excellent training. I think it’s the perfect Community hospital-based OB/GYN program. I am very happy to be a part of the first class of this residency and I feel a sense of honor in being part of establishing this program. Outside of residency I really enjoy hanging out with my family and kids. I am married and I have four children. We like to hike, go to the beach, play at the park and just do family things. Personally I enjoy playing guitar, reading and running.

Hey guys! I’m Becka and I am from Ventura, California. I love living on the Central Coast of California and truly love the people I work with here at Marian Regional Medical Center.  As a fourth year medical student, I rotated here. While I was here, I had such great experiences working with the faculty, nursing staff, and getting to know the patient population in Santa Maria. I am passionate about family planning and am considering pursuing a fellowship in this area. I am also interested in advocacy and as such, I hold a position on ACOG as our Section 4 Junior Fellow Chair. I love traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and corgis, although I do not have one sadly. I am a diehard Cubs fan and sports lover in general.

River Saul, DO

Undergraduate: University of Massachusetts - Boston (Biology, Wellesley College (Neuroscience
Medical Education: Touro University - California

I was raised in Minnesota, schooled in Boston, Sacramento and SF Bay Area, and I found my home here at Marian Regional Medical Center. The faculty, staff, and patient population here is truly exceptional, and I am overjoyed to call this nook of paradise my home. As a member of the first OB/GYN residency class at Marian, I had the privilege of early surgical exposure and responsibility and have focused on developing my skills in that area. Prior to medical school, I was a sexual health educator, an international resident artist, researcher in neuroscience, and a video gamer. I am passionate about reproductive justice, global health and wilderness medicine. I keep balance in residency with multipitch rock climbing in places like Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and our local Bishop’s Peak.

Hi! I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and I am so glad to have made it to the central coast of California for residency. I am passionate about reproductive justice and access to quality care and chose Marian because of the opportunity to serve an underserved population. I am currently working on a project to implement outpatient labor induction here at Marian to improve patient outcomes and patient experience. In my free time, I like to hike with my dog and my partner, surf, peruse farmers markets, and see live music.

Hi, I’m Dani! I was born and raised on a ranch in central Texas, but couldn’t be happier that our residency program has brought me to the beautiful Central Coast of California. As a student rotating at Marian, I was drawn to the kindness displayed by staff I encountered and the opportunity to be a part of a newer program. I am passionate about rural healthcare and appreciate the opportunities available here to work with underserved populations. Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy taking our pups on new trails, working on our home, exploring small California towns, trying out new places to eat, and hosting our families at their new favorite vacation spot- the Central Coast!

Greetings! My name is Jennifer, but most people call me Jen. I grew up in Southern California, went to medical school in Colorado, and am so happy to now call the Central Coast my home. There were many things that drew me to the OB-GYN residency program here at Marian Regional Medical Center but among the most important are: the supportive learning environment, diverse patient population, unique pathology, and family-like atmosphere. We challenge and push each other to grow and learn new things every day. Outside of work I love outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and going to the beach.
