Great Kindness Challenge

The team at Dignity Health North State is excited to again partner and participate in the Great Kindness Challenge. This year's challenge will be held January 22nd-26th, 2018, and we would like to invite your school to participate once again!

Since 2008, the Great Kindness Challenge has worked to create a culture of kindness in elementary, middle, and high schools worldwide. The event challenges participating students to complete at least 50 acts of kindness in one week. In the 2017 Great Kindness Challenge, more than 5 million students participated from 8,022 schools across 61 countries for a total of 250,718,100 recorded acts of kindness! That is so awesome, but we would like to support even more acts of kindness this year!

During the week of the Great Kindness Challenge, Dignity Health is challenging people to smile more. By smiling at yourself in the mirror, at strangers on the street, or at your loved ones, you will help spread kindness, and will experience the positive effects smiling can have on you and those around you.

Here are three documents that will help you and your school participate in the 2018 Great Kindness Challenge. There is also a checklist of 50 suggested acts of kindness that your students can use during the week. Dignity Health would also love to partner with you and provide support to your school if you are willing to take the challenge.

If you would like to participate, first visit www.greatkindnesschallenge.org/ to register your school. Second, to sign up to partner with Dignity Health North State on this fun initiative or for more information, please contact:

Dignity Health has long believed that while medicine has the power to cure, it is humanity and kindness that holds the power to heal. We hope that you will consider joining us in taking the 2018 Great Kindness Challenge, and helping to create a culture of kindness here in the North State.
