Our Community

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital is located in Red Bluff, in the heart of Tehama County, about two hours north of Sacramento and 30 miles south of Redding. It’s the third largest city in the Shasta Cascades, with majestic Mount Shasta rising in the background.

Red Bluff was officially founded in 1876 and is nestled in the Northern Sacramento Valley. We like to think of ourselves as Tehama Country, and offer fishing, hunting, ranching, agriculture, and country living activities such as ice cream socials, downtown art walks, and family-oriented fairs and events.

The population of just over 14,000 enjoys a quality of life not measured by car brands, shopping centers, nor exclusive neighborhoods, but rather by our involvement in the community, the friends who share our daily lives, and the beauty and serenity of the countryside that cradles us.
