Visitor Guidelines

At Sequoia Hospital, it is our highest priority to ensure your health and safety. To help support that, we have implemented changes in visitor policies to make your birth experience as safe as possible. We know that some of these changes will require adjustments from all parties involved, but they are necessary to ensure you are receiving the highest quality of care. The best news? Your designated support person will be there by your side throughout your labor, birth and postpartum experience.

Onsite Level II Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)

If your baby is premature or requires intensive care, your newborn will be cared for onsite in our Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) by doctors and nurses from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford who specialize in neonatology care.

Breastfeeding Support

Sequoia Hospital believes in the long-term benefits of breastfeeding. Breast milk provides an excellent source of nutrition for your baby and has many health benefits for both mother and baby. New moms are offered lactation support from consultants who are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants.
