Dominican Hospital Partnership with Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Provides Robust Outpatient Therapy

Posted in:
Dignity Health Dominican Hospital, the leading provider of outpatient rehabilitation therapy in Santa Cruz County, is pleased to announce a partnership with Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services, a national leader, to provide an unmatched resource for outpatient therapy in the Santa Cruz community.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2017, Kindred will assume administrative responsibility for the outpatient physical, speech, and occupational therapy programs at Dominican Hospital’s rehabilitation campus at 610 Frederick Street.

There will be no impact to patients as a result of this change. Patients will continue to receive the same therapy services, from the same therapists, at the same location. In fact, this partnership may result in expanded services in the years to come.

“A partnership between Kindred and Dominican Hospital is a natural fit,” said Dominican Hospital President Nanette Mickiewicz, MD. “In the changing landscape of health care, it makes sense for hospitals to make partnerships in the community that can sustain, and even grow, their outpatient programs.”

“Kindred is proud to be partnering with Dominican Hospital for outpatient therapies,” said Rachel Compton, Region Vice President, Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services.  “Dominican’s therapists are the very best at what they do, and we look forward to working hand in hand with them to provide therapy services in the Santa Cruz community.”
