Kathryn Coan, MD, is an endocrine / general surgeon in Dignity Health – Cancer Institute’s Surgical Specialties clinic. Dr. Coan’s expertise includes endocrine surgery, specifically thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgeries. She is also board certified in general surgery. 

Dr. Coan is a member of the Arizona Medical Association, American College of Surgeons and American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. Dr. Coan received her medical degree from The University of New Mexico. She completed her residency in general surgery at Mayo Clinic Hospital and a fellowship in endocrine surgery at The Medical College of Wisconsin.

Special interests include improving quality of care for patients and a passion for continuing medical education.
