SAN FRANCISCO and PHOENIX - One Medical Group, the fastest-growing primary care system in the country, today announced that it will open three new locations in the greater Phoenix area next month, with offices opening in March in Phoenix, Gilbert, and Scottsdale. One Medical is partnering with health care leader Dignity Health to launch its innovative primary care service in Arizona, the first of several initiatives planned by the partnership.
One Medical’s technology-enabled approach to primary care gives health professionals the time and tools necessary to make smarter decisions, while empowering patients to better manage their own health. Members enjoy access to top health professionals, 24/7 virtual care, same-day appointments and more, while physicians have the opportunity to practice medicine in a more sustainable way, focusing more of their time on patients rather than paperwork.
“Given the strong demand for high-quality primary care in this rapidly growing market, Arizona appears to be a natural fit for One Medical,” said Tom Lee, MD, founder and CEO of One Medical Group. “By partnering with Dignity Health and bringing One Medical to Arizona, we hope to improve the quality and value of health care in this market.”
“Dignity Health is committed to developing innovative solutions to enhance a patient’s overall experience,” said Rich Roth, vice president of strategic innovation at Dignity Health. “We are thrilled to partner with companies such as One Medical Group to offer patients easy access to quality care and more tools to better manage their health.”
The organization brings its connections, reputation, and capital to the partnership, as well as a network of affiliated physicians and resources through the Arizona Care Network. “We know that patients are demanding more health care options,” said Linda Hunt, senior vice president of operations for Dignity Health in Arizona. “Dignity Health wants to be on the vanguard of offering those choices and that is why we have partnered with the pioneering leadership of One Medical to open these new locations.” Dignity Health, which includes St. Joseph’s Hospital and Barrow Neurological Institute, is rapidly expanding its Arizona footprint, which now includes five hospitals and dozens of clinics and other medical partnerships.
“We are very pleased to partner with Dignity Health and the Arizona Care Network in their mission to provide high-quality, affordable care to Arizona,” added Lee. “This relationship allows us to work in concert with the local community and offer patients a streamlined quality care experience.”
Individuals can now sign up for the membership-supported service at onemedical.com.
In addition, the Arizona Diamondbacks have signed on as One Medical’s first enterprise customer in Arizona. One Medical is now the official Primary Care Physician of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
“The D-backs are proud to partner with One Medical to showcase our commitment to health in the Arizona community,” said Derrick Hall, D-backs President & CEO. “One Medical is a leader in primary care and just like the D-backs, seeks to provide high-quality products and services to our fans across the state.”
Today’s news comes on the heels of a year of rapid growth for One Medical. In 2014, the company added six new locations (including a flagship office in Los Angeles) and launched an employer-focused primary care solution that is now being used by over 100 enterprise clients nationwide.
