What We Do
As a system, Dignity Health offers more than 1,000 active clinical trials and research protocols to patients in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Clinical research is critical to our collective ability to improve the quality of life for all persons, to mitigate the pain and suffering caused by illness and injury, and to further the healing ministry that is the basis for Dignity Health’s existence.
Dignity Health Research Institute Arizona (DHRI AZ) is dedicated to ensuring that all research activities within our institutions are carried out in an atmosphere that complies with all relevant regulations, laws, policies, and procedures. DHRI AZ provides centralized research administration services including contracting, budgeting, financial management, compliance, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversights for all Dignity Health research activity occurring across Arizona.
Who We Are
DHRI AZ works with physicians from St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Barrow Neurological Institute, Norton Thoracic Institute, the Dignity Health – Cancer Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Chandler Regional Medical Center, and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center to provide access to clinical research studies conducted by investigators that are among the nation’s most renowned physicians in their fields and are supported by dedicated clinical staff.
Our investigators participate in multi-center, national and international clinical research trials, across many indications to offer our patients access to the most current clinical research opportunities.
The mission of the Dignity Health Research Institute Arizona is to support continued innovation with the goal of finding new ways to provide timely and effective treatment to patients.
At Dignity Health, we believe that every patient deserves an opportunity – an opportunity to pursue a cure, an opportunity to improve their quality of life, an opportunity to improve healthcare for the generations to come.
