Peter Wu, MDPeter Wu, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with The University of Arizona Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Wu’s expertise includes general plastic and reconstructive surgery and advanced microsurgery. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wu completed his medical training in general surgery at Baystate Medical Center Tufts University in Springfield, Massachusetts followed by plastic surgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also completed a specialty fellowship in microsurgery at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to offering general plastic and reconstructive procedures, Dr. Wu’s special interests include complex reconstructive techniques for patients with cancer, traumatic injuries, and other types of wounds.

Dr. Wu’s care philosophy aligns with a famous quote of Gaspare Tagliacozzi: “We restore, rebuild, and make whole those parts which nature hath given, but which misfortune has taken away.
