Cardiac Rehab Services

If you have heart disease, treating it is very important. But it’s also just the first step. At St. Mary’s, we continue to monitor your progress after you return home.

The St. Mary's Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation Program is open to people who have a history of coronary artery disease or who have had an angioplasty, heart surgery, heart valve surgery, heart failure or have had a heart attack.

Our team of nurses, with exclusive training in this particular area, help lead a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program that includes:

  • Counseling
  • Dietary guidelines
  • Education to help you safely return to your normal activities
  • Progressive exercise

Depending on your needs, our cardiac rehabilitation services are comprised of between 12 and 36 one-hour sessions with a nurse. The program is open to hospitalized patients, those with a recently diagnosed cardiac illness who need special monitoring and patients who are stable and require less monitoring.
